Gavin Newlands, the MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North, has today welcomed IKEA’s announcement that they will pay all of their workers a Living Wage from 1st April 2016. IKEA’s has opted to pay their workers the Living Wage of £8.25 as recommended by the Living Wage foundation, as opposed to the UK Government’s statutory ‘National Living Wage’ of £7.20 which only available for workers over the age of 25.
