Gavin Newlands MP supports Glow Gold Campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer

Gavin Newlands, MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North, has provided his support to the Glow Gold Campaign in order to raise awareness of childhood cancer during September, which is the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign aims to highlight the impact of cancer on children, young people and their families.
During a recent event in Westminster, MPs learned more about the campaign and were able to lend their support to it. During September several public buildings are also being lit up gold to highlight the campaign.
Gavin Newlands MP said: “It was a pleasure to support the Glow Gold campaign and to wear a gold ribbon to raise awareness of the campaign. I was shocked to learn that every day at least 10 children and young people find out that they have cancer, which is one of the worst news any parent can receive.”
“One of the aims of the Child Cancer Awareness Month is to show people how the life-saving work that charities like Children with Cancer UK fund helps young cancer patients and their families. If you want to support the campaign, you can order a gold ribbon, or donate by texting RIBBON to 70099 to give just £1.”
