Gavin congratulates Glasgow Airport’s 50th anniversary in Parliament

Gavin Newlands, MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North, has congratulated Glasgow Airport, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, by submitting an Early Day Motion to Parliament celebrating this important milestone.

The airport’s anniversary was also marked recently by a visit by the HRH Princess Royal.

Gavin Newlands said: “I was glad to take part in the event marking the anniversary, attended by HRH Princess Royal, and want to congratulate Glasgow Airport in Parliament for reaching this important milestone. Glasgow Airport is a significant employer in the constituency and a gateway to the west of Scotland.”

“The recent successes, such as being named Scottish Airport of the Year and both UK and European Airport of the Year for five to 10 million passengers highlight the hard work and dedication of the people at Glasgow Airport.”

“I wish Glasgow Airport the best of success for the next 50 years as it continues to serve Renfrewshire and Scotland.”
