Langbank - A8 Roundabout Survey

In September my office, Cllr Fiona Airlie-Nicolson, and Langbank Community Council carried out a survey looking at the views of residents in Langbank regarding the A8 roundabout. There have been several serious road traffic accidents at this location, and just as importantly, a great many near misses.

The survey aimed to obtain the views and experiences of residents who use the roundabout or are affected by the traffic associated with it. Throughout the survey, there was an overriding desire for safety measures to be taken, with the survey showing that the most popular choice for traffic management was the introduction of traffic lights.

The data collected from the survey has now been submitted to Transport Scotland who are in the process of carrying out a review and option appraisal of any potential remedial actions.
